If the French soldiers marching in the Napoleonic War ate with plastic cutleries, we would still have those buried in our backyard. It takes up to 1,000 years for plastic to decompose, which means that our children’s children’s… children will probably have to deal with the plastic kingdom we live in now. It seems like everyone but us are paying a hefty price for our plastic extravaganza – from seahorses latching onto plastic cotton swabs to sea turtles ingesting plastic bags, we are starting to realize that this once miracle invention is toxic to nature.
It’s time for us to say goodbye to plastic. Of course it’s not plausible to get rid of plastic altogether. However, we can start with making small changes – say, switching packaged liquid cleansers to cleansing bars, using tumblers instead of disposable plastic cups, and ditching straws.
Your conscious decision can change the world for the better. It might seem small, but you could be contributing to a cause that benefits thousands and millions of lives. What do you say? Would you join Arencia’s mission to bid farewell to plastic?
